The 129th Fancy Farm Picnic was held Saturday, Aug 1, 2009. I was dispatched from Louisville to cover the event for the Herald-Leader. The speeches were pretty mediocre except for the exchange between Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo, and Attorney General Jack Conway. Both men are potential candidates for the 2010 Senate race.

It's always fascinating to watch someone commit political suicide right out there in front of God and everybody. The guy who calls himself one tough SOB might be looking for a job before too long. Wow. Can't believe he said that at all, much less in front of voters and media. Well done my friend.
