Move Over K-Mart

After watching a documentary with my wife about the effects Wal-Mart has on a community we vowed to not patronize them. In the city we live in that left us with K-Mart. That was until Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2007 at 6 in the evening. You would have thought someone was getting married. There was a band playing, a ceremony and of course several hundred people pushing and shoving to get to the front of the line so they could be the first in. Honestly the place was going to be open for four hours, and it wasn't as if they had only three Playstation Game consoles they were selling for 20 bucks. I guess the free hors d'ouerves in the isles and the serenade by a karaokeing quartet in the fitting department was enough to cause a frenzy.
